Holiday Luncheon

December 15th, 2008 by tmichaud
Ladies,
Once again you have out done yourselves!  Each year, I continue to be amazed at the creative talents of our bakers and the generosity of our shoppers.  Thank you for braving the storm today to bring everything in. The teachers and staff felt spoiled and appreciated and I couldn’t have done it without everyone pitching in!!

  • Thank you to Carey Cecil and the ASB students who came in to monitor the table, Nicole Lizzarraga, that got our coffee donated to us!
  • Thank you to Melanie, for always being so helpful to all the parents and the PTA.
  • Thank you Trisha Michaud, for helping set up and clean up….even though she was soaking wet!
Thank you to our shoppers; Tracie Lengel, Kathleen Morris, Geanine Sitkowski, Julie Suchard, Denise Lugo, Kathy Simpson, Caryn Trumbo (your baskets are by Melanie), Jennifer Pillion, Mylene Chow, Becky Hernandez, Rebecca Browning, Judy Rees, Melodi Leih, Michelle Duke, Cindy Paddon, Laurie McKinnell, Roni Stull (fancy creamers), Teresa Vitelli, Helen Bakkers, and Dayna Esquivel.

And thank you to the wonderful bakers!!  I must tell you…the staff is always amazed that we are so lucky to have so many people who will bake.  Thank you to Nicole Carson, Vickie Leonard, Margaret Sanders, Sherri Bishop, Lucy Curran,  Carrie Fell (homemade peanut brittle..wow!), Marylin Nullmeyer, Debbie Le Francios, Yvonne Rangel (fancy cheesecake cupcakes), Jean Linville, Linda Harris, Cathy O’Toole, Tammy Plachy, Kandayce Waring, Nancy Napoli (thumb print cookies), Leanne Wallin (brownie bites), Kim Thornton, Teresa Vitelli. Patti Cairns, Erin Brewster (apple & caramel dip), Venita Wright, Helen Bakkers, Sharon Nakamura, Paula Joppu (a beautiful fruit pizza) and Jacqui Oglivie Keilty, a cherry poppy seed bundt cake.

Everything tasted delicious and looked fantastic!

Thanks again and I look forward to working with you again in 2009, Trisha

Welcome to the 2008-2009 School Year

September 8th, 2008 by deliot

Welcome to the 2008-2009 EDHS school year! If you haven’t already joined the PTSA, please take a moment to do so…membership is only $12 and envelopes are available in the front office. We especially encourage students to join at the high school level. They make up the S in PTSA!! Continuing the school tradition, we will have several student members on our board and they help to contribute so much, making our school the best place possible!!

Typically, membership is our main source of income and all that money goes straight back to the school. This is done in the way of gifts, programs during school and scholarships to seniors. Last year, we were able to buy a class set of ELD books, a Spectrophotomoter and a magnetic protein board for the Science Department, DVD players and a hard drive for several teachers and a computer sound board for the theater. While, it may not seem like much…we were able to purchase almost everything on the teacher wish list. )

We also make a point to demonstrate to the staff how much we appreciate them throughout the year with luncheons and holiday festivities. So if you enjoy baking or have time to shop, we could really use you!!

This year, to try to raise more money for the school, we will be having regular Restaurant Days with local restaurants. Please try and support both the PTSA and the local business. A percentage of the sales will go directly to the school, so watch the marquee and ask for flyers.

And please feel free to join us at our monthly board meetings. They are the third Tuesday of the month at 7pm, held in the school library, beginning on Tuesday September 16th….everyone is welcome!!

You can find PTSA member contact information HERE.

Thank you so much and we look forward to hearing from you!
Trisha Ladd and Kim Schultz
